Life without Christ is Death

There is a world of difference between the way a Christian views death and the way others view it. For the unbeliever, death is a dreaded foe; something to be avoided at all costs and to be dismissed from our minds.

For the Christian, death is a defeated enemy. It is actually a blessing for those in Christ for through His death we are made alive. Men are subject to slavery all their lives because of the fear of death, and the one who has the power of death is the devil. So, when a man does not have Christ, he has the devil and he will continue to live in fear of death.
Death started in the Garden of Eden as a result of disobedience. Among many trees were two trees, the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good Evil. Adam and Eve were forbidden to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God told them that in the day they eat of the fruit of the tree they would surely die (Genesis 2:16-17).

The devil tempted Eve and she and her husband ate of the forbidden fruit. They discovered that they were naked and hide from the presence of God and were exposed to the devil. Ever since, they have been separated from God by their sins and unrepentant hearts and they have to face the wages of sin which is death (Romans 6:23).

But for all born again Christians, there is good news. God gave us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. You have life in full. Your life receives a meaning and a hope. You indeed receive a new start and not death.

If you are not again—you have neither believed that Jesus died for you nor asked Him to rule your life, I advise you to seek Him now that He is near you. He will take over your heart and give you a new beginning and rest from all your fears. Confess Him as your Lord and personal Savior and you are born again. Praise God Hallelujah!
