That it may be Fulfilled

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register. Luke 2:1-3

An ancient prophecy by Prophet Micah had predicted that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem, the city of David. Hundreds of years had passed, and when it was time for the prophecy to be fulfilled, God inspired a decree to be made, requiring a census that everyone was to go to his native home to be counted. This happened so that Micah's prophecy may be fulfilled. Without knowing it, a heathen king became an instrument through which God's purpose was fulfilled.

Nations have had to make some laws that were orchestrated by divine providence so that some things may be fulfilled, which God planned for His chosen people. In fact, national laws are often driven by providence because God is in charge of the events that take place in the earth.

It is possible that there are laws that may soon be enacted in your nation that ordinarily may seem to be instigated by the ordinance of man, but in the long run, you will discover that it is providential. God's people, when they have prayed for the governments of their nations, should relax, and see God working the events they may not understand, as He orchestrates events to fulfill His purposes in their lives. No matter what laws are passed by human legislation, somehow, they work out in favour of God's purposes for us.
