The Defeat of the Antichrist

"For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod." Isaiah 30:31

One of the greatest reassurances that justice will be served at the end is in the fact that ultimately, evil will be defeated. And this is captured in the fact that at the end of the day, the final personification of evil, the Antichrist, will be roundly defeated by Jesus Christ in the final battle of this age. The prophets of old foresaw this truth, and wrote about it thousands of years ago. This truth of how the Lord Jesus Christ will destroy the Antichrist and his armies at His return is also revealed in Revelation 19. With the sword of His mouth, He will destroy the Antichrist and his armies.

Do you feel that justice will never be served against acts of injustice? Be comforted, knowing that God is a God of justice, and that He will bring about justice, even though it may not be in the way that you expect it to come. The prophets wrote to the Israelites in their hours of great distress to bring them assurance of God's justice against their oppressors, yet, what they told the people had to do with the judgment that will come to their enemies at the end of age. If you can believe that God will judge the Antichrist, who is evil personified, it will not be difficult believing that He will bring you justice too.

"For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof." Isaiah 31:4

On the day of the battle of Armageddon, the Lord will come like a lion against the Antichrist and his armies. It will be a total destruction of his army. I am not sure how many armies have risen against you, but be comforted by the knowledge of the impending judgment of the Antichrist.

"As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it." Isaiah 31:5. Since you know that the Lord will defend Jerusalem in spite of the threats of the enemy, and that He will deliver His city and preserve it, then you can be reassured that God will do the same for you too.

Satan's attempt to take the city of Jerusalem, and by it, thwart the return of Jesus Christ, will be brought to an end because Jesus Christ will defend Jerusalem and deliver it from the Antichrist. Same is true for what God will do for those who have run to Him for shelter in Christ Jesus. Have you thus run to Him? Then rest, because in the very sure defeat of the Antichrist, you are assured that your victory will surely come too, and justice will be served.
