Everything that we can ever receive from God comes from Jesus via the
cross. But everything that the cross brings is made real in our daily
experience by the Holy Spirit through our faith expressed in the
finished work of Christ on the cross. Without the cross, there's nothing
for the Holy Spirit to make real to us, and without the cross, faith is
vain.
Whatever the bible says was done on the cross is what the Holy Spirit loops our faith to and releases His power to effect it in our lives. What happened on the cross can become a personal benefit to anyone who approaches it in faith. Is it salvation? Faith makes it your personal possession. Is it healing? Faith makes it yours. Whatever the cross symbolizes can become yours through faith. The Holy Spirit takes your faith and exerts His power to bring about the miracle you desire. But remember, apart from the cross, your faith is vain because the Holy Spirit will only act on faith that is expressed towards the cross of Jesus Christ.
