I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Ephesians 4:1
To teach that one who is born again does not have to do anything after he is born is like a child born who refuses to walk because he came into the world by doing nothing. Walking follows birth, whether physical or spiritual birth. Birth results in walking. If you are not born, you cannot walk, but when you are born, you are expected to walk, physically or spiritually.
In the same way that we are not born by the things we do, we are not born again by the things we do, but once we are born again, grace requires us to walk. In this regard, the apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4:1, admonished us to walk worthy of our calling. Our calling has a walk, and this walk is not the cause of our calling, but the outcome of our calling. To teach grace otherwise is to present a grace that has no fruit, and this will be a caricature grace, not bible grace, because bible grace has walk. So, if you are born again, walk! Walk worthy of the calling of your new birth.
