God will Confuse your Enemies

During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion. Exodus 14:24

Many people are fearful because of the loud threats of an enemy they know is intent at hurting them, so it seems realistic at such times to be fearful. But it is heartwarming to know that God is watching over the lives of those that run to Him for shelter even though an enemy may be raging. At the Red Sea, God withstood the Egyptian army as they came against the escaping Israelites and confused them, overthrowing them in the sea. The God that overthrew the armies of Egypt in the Red Sea is more than able to protect you from the raging fierceness of an enemy that seeks to destroy you. So fear not, God is alive and He is watching your back and no power can harm you in His mighty hands. How reassuring it is to know that though evil may be roundabout, yet God’s grace abounds even the more to keep you in such times of danger. The apostle Peter assures us in 1 Peter 1:5 that God keeps us with His power through faith. God told Israel, ‘I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter and I will make all your enemies to turn their backs and run’. Exodus 23:27. What a promise, you may say, and the same is true for you today. God will make those that plan to hurt you turn their backs on you and run. It is a promise He made and will keep.

So you see, you really have no need to fear when you are in the hands of a God who is able to make your enemies turn their backs on you and run. Has the threat of the enemy caused you to fear? Then consider the presence of this all-powerful God who is on your side with His omnipotence; so, rest.

Shalom and God bless you and keep you in Jesus name. Amen.
