"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again." Mark 10:33-34
Often, when we go through difficult times, we are unable to see the glory that the end of the conflict holds for us. The disciples of Jesus Christ were like us, Jesus, severally told them of His death, and the suffering that will accompany it, but He never failed to tell them about the glory of the end: His resurrection. Yet, they were overwhelmed with grief by His crucifixion because they failed to take into account what He had told them about His resurrection from the dead on the third day. They only saw the crucifixion!
Are you seeing the betrayal, mockery, humiliation, rejection, pains, and all other things that may be happening to you now? If these are all that you can see, you will hardly come through as God has appointed for you to. Like Jesus, you must look beyond the things that make you sad now, and see the glory of the end. Jesus, in addition to all the things that He told His disciples that would happen to Him, told them that He will rise on the third day.
If you can bear it, I come to tell you today that the third day is on its way; it came for the disciples of Jesus Christ, and their sorrow was turned into joy. It will be the same for you! Beyond the pain, there is glory at the end. Jesus rose from the dead! His enemies could do many things, but one thing was beyond their reach, it was the fact of His resurrection. The angels announced, "He has risen". My friend, the third day is approaching, therefore, lift up your praise to God for what is about to happen: the glory of the end is near! Hallelujah!!!
