The folly of judging the supernatural by the natural

"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:13-14

How frequently we carry our attitude toward those that we disagree with over to God. We have this wrong idea that whatever we do not understand is wrong. How wrong! There are many things in life that we will never fully understand, and yet, that does not make such things wrong. What it means is that we are not perfect in knowledge.

There are also many things in the word of God that we do not understand at the present time, or agree with. But that does not mean that they are wrong.
What we don't understand or agree with in the word of God doesn't make God incompetent or wrong, it only shows that we are limited in the scope of our understanding. If we will humble ourselves and ask Him to teach us, we will soon find out that God cannot be wrong. It is a folly to use our corrupted, and limited understanding to judge God's word. He is infinite in scope, therefore, what you don't understand now is not an indication that the word of God is inaccurate, rather, it is that you have not yet understood it.

Those who disagree with the word of God usually have problem with the stories of the supernatural miracles told in the bible. For them, these are myths and fables, but they will only reach such conclusions because they are judging what is supernatural by natural standards. And to be clear, speaking naturally, those miracles are impossible occurrences because with man, they are so, but with God, nothing is impossible. This is the folly of judging the supernatural by the natural.
