This is frightening! The world is at war! But this is not a war of
nations against nations, or kingdom against kingdom, but one waged
against an invisible enemy. In conventional war, people are not told to
stay at home, and the basic freedom of movement is still enjoyed by the
people; but here we are, faced with an indefinite period of lockdown,
and it seems ok because of the exigency of the time.
Three months ago, the thought of governments directing people to stay at home would have been unimaginable, and vehemently resisted by the people. But not so today, this, because the world has, overnight, changed. What is frightening about this overnight change is not the fact of the present stay at home order, but the huge possibilities that, in the future, personal liberties will be taken away, and it will be seen as expedient for the time. If you can receive it, we have come to the place of sliding liberties, and there are no reversals, governments will become stronger and stronger, until finally, the world slides into a virtual dictatorship, again, because of the exigency of the time. This may be where the world is headed for, it will only take a while before we get there.
As I see these events unfolding in our time, and the possibility of a global dictatorship emerging on the horizon, being a bible believer, I cannot but ask, what does the bible say about all of these happenings? I am pondering on this question, and will make known my findings shortly. But until then, Stay at Home, and God bless you.
