Yesterday we began to look at what we called Crazy Faith, today, we will illustrate this kind of faith using the life and walk of Abraham, the father of faith.
One morning, Abraham got up and told his folks, "hey guys, I am leaving town." And naturally they asked him, "where are you going to?" Then he said to them, "God asked me to leave you guys to a place that He will show me." "Then, wait until He shows you where to go," they may have tried to reason with him. I am sure that you are conversant with this kind of conversation. But it would have ceased to be faith if he waited until God showed him where to go. True faith takes God at His word and acts as commanded.
Crazy faith is aggressive faith, one that is extremely enthusiastic. This kind of faith makes no room for doubts. Doubt does not have the assurance of what is hoped for. Faith is quick to act, once it verifies what the mind of God is, from scripture. Crazy faith takes God at His word. It is audacious and exhibits daring confidence in whatever the word of God says. This kind of faith does not consider human capability, but God's ability to do what He promised.
Think of how crazy it would have seemed, when he told his friends, at the age of a hundred years, that God was going to give him and his ninety year old wife a son, and went on to tell them that his name will be Isaac. This was faith in its raw, crazy form. It set aside every natural, physical consideration apart, and allows what God said to be the governing factor. This kind of faith does not deny the facts of a matter, yet, it is never governed by the facts of the matter, rather it is governed by the word of God.
As wonderful as crazy faith can be, it is important that you are very sure that you are hearing from God, and not your flesh.
