And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and
thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this
house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine
eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 1 Kings 9:3
This is what the Lord said regarding the temple which now is laid
waste in Jerusalem. According to Him, His eyes and heart shall be there
perpetually, and His name will be there forever. When the nations of the
world collude with the Palestinians to deny Israel's ownership of
Jerusalem, or even having any historic ties with the city, they wrestle
with an everlasting promise. It may be true that the temple was
destroyed, yet, the eyes and heart of God are there perpetually. What
greater assurance is there than this, that the temple will be rebuilt in
its time.
The enemies of Israel are up against an everlasting promise, but they
ignorantly think that they are up against the nation of Israel. The
time is ticking, and the events are unfolding with unprecedented speed,
and in not too long from now, a new temple will be standing where was
appointed for it to be. It is in this rebuilt temple that the
Anti-Christ, the man of sin, will erect his abominable image, making
himself to be God, and offer swine upon its altar before the final
descent of the Lord of lords, and King of kings, to vanquish the
Anti-Christ and his army at the battle of Armageddon. As we see the
things happening in Israel, understand that the time is not far from us
when the Lord shall appear to remove the church from the earth. Are you
ready for this coming monumental event? If you are, you will say with
the Spirit and the bride, Come Lord Jesus!
