Many people have come to Christ carrying with them all the labels that
their past placed on them, and concluded that they are not good enough
for God to use them. But this is not true because when God saves a
person, He wipes off the labels that life had placed on them, and gives
them a brand new start and identity. Nothing in your past is able to
disqualify you from being used by God. The only one that promotes this
falsehood is the devil, but he can only succeed by your consent, which
is made possible by your ignorance.
Apostle Paul, before his encounter with the Lord, was a persecutor of the church, but through him, God gave us more than half of the New Testament. No one that God uses has any personal merit that qualified him to be used. Once you are saved, you have everything that you will need to be used by God, you will only need to make yourself available. Your availability is all that God needs, and the rest will be supplied by His Spirit because it is Him that works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. So you see, it is not true that God cannot use you.
