Each according to his ability. Matthew 25:15
God
does not give everyone the same talent, He gives to each of us what He
knows we can handle according to the grace bestowed on us. He gives to
each of us gifts according to the grace given to us, and the grace given
is often determined by the assignment given. It is for this reason that
boasting is cut off because whatsoever we accomplish in God is done by
the grace given, and not by the energy of our strength. It is for this
reason that He says the same thing to the servant who doubled his five
talents as the one that doubled his two talents. The reason being that
both did what they did according to the grace given them. But unlike the
man who had one talent, they were diligent to labour in the grace given
them.
None of us is without a talent with
which to glorify God, the problem however lies in what we do with our
talent. So the question that may be asked is, what are you doing with
the talent that has been entrusted to you? What will count on the day of
accounting is not how many talents you were given, but how diligent you
were with the talent that you were given. So go to work and be like the
apostle Paul who did not allow the grace of God in him to be in vain.
