"Not because I desire a gift: but I desire FRUIT that may abound to your account." Philippians 4:17
What the Philippians did was sow their seeds into the ministry and life of Apostle Paul, but notice that what God did was to abound to their account, fruit. It is on the basis of the seed sown that fruit for eating was abounded to their account. And God did this for them according to His riches in glory through Jesus Christ. If they did not sow their seeds, there will be nothing to abound as fruit unto their account. From this heavenly account, God daily meets their needs.
Those who keep their seeds away from the cause of God only rob themselves of His intervention, not the cause of God. By their decision, they are simply saying that they don't need divine support for their sustenance since they are able to do without it. Apart from opening up themselves to divine intervention, those who support God's cause also become heavenly minded because according to Jesus, where one's treasure is, there will his heart be also.
Everyone of us can operate a heavenly account and have God abound to us fruits according to His riches in glory simply by supporting what He is doing in any ministry that He may lead us to.
