For you have been born again. Your new life did not come from your
earthly parents because the life they gave you will end in death. But
the new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living

How often you hear people say that they are from Christian families, and in the mind of those who say this, being in Christ and the new life it brings is a function of their biological birth to parents who have a relationship with Jesus. But they are wrong. The new life in Christ is a spiritual life given by the Spirit of God upon acceptance of the sacrifice that Jesus made of Himself on the cross. In John 3:6, Jesus said, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Also, John 1:12-13 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
Every inheritance we receive from our natural parents have their end here, for beyond here, only that which is received from God endures. It is this life that Jesus Christ came into this world as a man to make possible for sons of men. Have you prided in your religious inheritance, whatever it may be, know however, that the new life which Jesus gives can only be received by a personal faith in Him. Have you that personal faith? If you do, then, you have the new life. This can only be received as a gift from God through faith in Christ.
Don't be deceived, you cannot inherit salvation in the same way that you can receive an inheritance from your earthly parents. God is extending the free offer of salvation to you today, will you receive it and become a recipient of the new life?
