When the bible says that we are no longer under the law for
righteousness, what exactly does it mean? Does it mean that the
unchanging moral laws of God are now obsolete because of grace?
When
properly understood, it will be seen that the reference is to the
ceremonial laws which required several rituals of cleansing, and the
animal sacrifices that pointed to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ
on the cross.
The moral laws were not made obsolete by the death of Jesus
Christ on the cross, if anything, they are solidified, being now
written on the tablets of our hearts, and made part of our new nature.
