Jesus Took the Bullet for you

Think of being a gang member who has just been involved in a fight in which someone was killed, and there is a price of death on your head by the other gang whose member was killed. But on this day, you went out to the barber's shop, and here they are, armed with guns, and you know that your day of reckoning has come. They take their aim at you, pulled the trigger and fired, but some stranger that you do not know jumps into your front, and the bullets rip through him, but before he breathed his last, he managed to say these words to you, calling you by your name, "...I did this because I love you", and he gave up the ghost.

Your assailants are gone, you are alive, but the mystery man who took your bullet is dead. What will you call that man who took the bullet for you? Will it be wrong to call him your saviour? Absolutely not! He saved you, but he did it by trading his own life for yours. This is the story of Jesus Christ and the fallen human race. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

What is your response to such a gesture of self-less benevolence? He asks nothing of you as a merit to receive this kindness, only but to believe and be saved from what nothing else can save you from. Think wisely, and act now! Believe and be saved.
