If Jesus did not rise from the dead, the consequences go far beyond its
impact on the first century, but beginning from that time, it can be
said to be the greatest fraud foisted upon mankind. Let us examine some
of the consequences of His not rising from the dead. First, Christianity
is a hoax, and everyone who died for the cause of Jesus Christ through
the ages, died in vane. Next, every life transformation that was ever
recorded to the account of those who trusted Christ was a fluke, if He
did not rise from the dead. Also, the hope propounded by the gospel for a
life of bliss after death for the believers in Christ is equally a
scam. The list goes on.
But if it is true that He rose from the dead, then, whatever a man gives up for the sake of the gospel and Christ is, in the words of the apostle Paul, great gain. Nothing is to be regretted that was lost in following Christ, even one's life, because the greatest gain supersedes the greatest loss. But how can we be sure that He rose from the dead? We cannot prove the resurrection, however, we can, by somethings that are associated to His resurrection, deduce the truthfulness of His resurrection. For example, the testimony of those who were once antagonistic to His cause, like Apostle Paul, give credence to the claim that He rose from the dead.
Whatever one believe about His resurrection holds the key his eternal well-being. The apostle Paul, writing in Romans 10:9, said, "That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Act Now! Salvation is free, and it is simple to receive, but the door will not remain open forever.
