Adam ceded the kingdom kept in his care to satan, and he, satan, established his own kingdom over the human race. Genesis 3:15 is the first indication of God's plan to retake the kingdom from satan, and it was going to be through the seed of the woman. To Abraham, God made the promise of a seed through whom He was going to bless the world. In Jacob, a nation, chosen to be God's people, was formed. Further down time, He made a promise to David that He was going to make one of his son's to seat on the throne of the kingdom forever, and this Son would rule the nations with the rod of iron. In all of these, Israel became a chosen nation through which God was going to fulfill the promise made to Abraham of a seed by Whom He will bless the world. The fulfillment of this promise will be the demise of satan and his kingdom.
In the calculation of satan, since God has proposed to defeat him and restore the kingdom to the Son of David, the Messiah, the destruction of the nation and people of Israel will be a smart move because without the nation of Israel, God's plan will come to an end. Through the ages, satan has instigated kings and rulers in the earth to plot the destruction of Israel and its people. In this regard, Pharaoh, prompted by satan in Egypt, attempted extinguishing the male gender of the Israelites, but failed. Haman tried the same without success when he made a degree to exterminate the Jews. Then came Hitler, as he sought to annihilate the entire Jewish population in the world, killing six million Jews, yet, failed to achieve satan's objective of wiping out Israel as a people. The next major effort to accomplish this evil plan will be during the reign of the Antichrist, when 2/3 of Jews will be killed and by an act of divine intervention, one third will be saved.
Today, the hate for Israel is beginning again to appear in what is known as the antisemitism. The United Nations has passed more resolutions condemning Israel than any other thing it does. There's only one nation in the community of nations that has stood with Israel, defending her against the violence of the nations united against her. But for how long will this support last?
"They say you can’t be a good progressive and supporter of Israel, and now they’re saying you can’t even be a good American and be a supporter of Israel. The intense hatred of Israel is creeping from the margins to the center of our national politics,” Kohr
The hate Israel drive is taking hold of American political new comers. It won't be long, and Israel will be finally isolated, with no friend in the world. We are watching the fulfillment of ancient prophecies of the end times unfolding right before our eyes. Sooner than anyone can expect, America will join the league of nations calling for the annihilation of Israel. Prophecy watchers are observing this gradual, but progressive shift that is taking place in America. The stage is gradually being made ready for Zechariah's prophecy of the gathering of the nations against Israel.
In all of these, the role of the church is to support Israel in whatever form it can until such a time when the church is taken out of the world. We owe this to Israel because according to the apostle Paul, "For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings." Romans 15:27. It's a duty that we owe them, and we do well to repay them by acts of kindness because they that bless Israel will be blessed.
