Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees... you fools and blind. Matthew 23:13, 19
Christ called the Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites, blind and fools. We do no wrong when we call their modern day counterparts hypocrites, blind and fools. If truly we are standing in Christ's stead, what He said of these groups, we will say also. The trouble with our time is that those sent by Christ are not entirely like Him. We see men and women who are desecrating the sanctity of what Christ gave His blood to purchase, and we say nothing, and do nothing.
But it's time to call them out for what they are: hypocrites, blind and fools; charlatans and strangers to the blood of the covenant by which we were bought. What they do in the name of Jesus Christ, to say the least, is shameful and unbecoming of those who call on that great name by which we are saved. How wonderful it will be if all lovers Jesus will raise their voices against the evil perpetrated by these evil men and women who have invaded the church of Jesus Christ.
The greatest act of wickedness is that which uses religion to bind men and turn their attention from God to religious leaders. Such were the Pharisees, sadly, there are modern day Pharisees doing the same thing today. But they must be resisted and rejected, and called out for what they are, hypocrites, blind and fools.
